Thank you for considering us for your behavioral health care needs. We exist to serve tribal members living the APIA service region. We are pleased to offer care to non-tribal members through our referral management process.

Aleutian Pribilof Islands Tribal Members
Tribal members of APIA’s service region can contact our Anchorage office to schedule services. You can also contact your local clinic. No referral is needed.
For referrals from the Office of Children’s Services, complete these additional steps:
Send a release of information for the adult who provides day-to-day care for the minor, if the State of Alaska has current custody
Send an intake summary or disposition report
We will review the records and determine if we can offer services. Decisions are based upon our current clinic capacity and case complexity. We typically respond within 3 business days.
Current clients may be asked to complete or review additional forms. If you want to request or give access to your health record for yourself or others, please complete a release of information.
We accept IHS benefits, Medicaid, and Medicare. We are in-network with Premera BCBS.
Veteran and Tricare Benefits
We are grateful for the service and sacrifice of our veterans and are committed to supporting them.
We accept Veterans Administration (VA) benefits. Please note:
Non-Native patients with VA benefits must have prior authorization before receiving services
American Indian and Alaska Native patients with VA benefits do not require prior authorization
All patients with TRICARE must have prior authorization before receiving services.
Self-Pay and Sliding Scale Discount Program
If you do not have insurance, we will work with you to help determine your costs. APIA offers both self-pay pricing and a sliding fee discount scale. To see if you qualify, please complete the sliding scale application. Eligibility is based upon family size and income. No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay.
We offer payment plans as a convenient way to manage your bill. If your bill exceeds $50, you may set up monthly automatic payments. Payment plans are interest-free for up to 24-months and can be arranged through our billing partner, Health Resources Group (HRG).
If you have questions or concerns about a bill, please contact the Behavioral Health front desk or HRG directly.
