The General Assistance program is currently out of funding until October.
The General Assistance program provides temporary financial support to eligible tribal individuals and families for essential needs such as paying bills, buying food, covering rent or mortgage payments and other household-related expenses.
Participants work with a case manager to determine benefits, which are then paid directly to each service provider/vendor. In order to remain active, clients must actively work on the goals established in their individual development plan.
GA is a sole-resource program and participants cannot be receiving cash assistance from other public assistance programs.
