Cash Assistance

Financial assistance for eligible, enrolled tribal members unable to meet essential food, clothing or shelter needs while actively participating in established work activities defined in the Individual Self-Sufficiency Plan (ISP).  The employment policy does not apply to some persons who meet specific criteria. This will be assessed during the intake process.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must demonstrate a need for assistance and meet low income guidelines based on TANF standards and documented unmet needs.

Communities/Tribes Served:

Provide a tribal card documenting membership in a federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native tribe AND be living in one of our 10 regional communities; OR

Provide tribal membership documentation as an enrolled tribal member of Akutan, Atka, Agdaagux, Belkofski, False Pass, Nikolski, Nelson Lagoon, Pauloff Harbor, St. George, Qawalangin, Unga and QTT and reside in any Alaskan community or U.S. city.
