Youth Employment Services

Assistance for eligible, tribally enrolled youth with training, employment, cultural revitalization, immersion, and leadership development opportunities, internships and summer or year-around work exposure/job shadowing and apprenticeship opportunities.

Eligibility Requirements

Individuals 14-24 years old who are interested in learning a specific trade, craft, traditional healing role, cultural role, leadership skills, or profession through on-the-job training, apprenticeship or work placement/internship. No income requirements.

Communities/Tribes Served

Provide a tribal card documenting membership in a federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native tribe AND be living in one of our 10 regional communities; OR

Provide tribal membership documentation as an enrolled tribal member of Akutan, Atka, Agdaagux, Belkofski, False Pass, Nikolski, Nelson Lagoon, Pauloff Harbor, St. George, St. Paul, Qawalangin, Unga and QTT and reside in any Alaskan community or U.S. city.
