Energy Assistance:
2027 Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Plans for Public Comment
APIA informs the public that the 2027 LIHEAP plan (application for recurring Energy Assistance funding) and CSBG plan (application for new supplemental Energy Assistance funding) are available for public comment for a 30-day period from July 15-August 15, 2027. Comments will be recorded and considered for plan changes.
Major changes include:
Application for new supplemental funding.
Benefit matrix reduction in point value from $125/point to $100/point.
This change will have the following impact on awards:

Should LIHEAP funding increase, or CSBG or other supplemental funding be received, award amounts will be increased. |
