WORK HOURS: 7.5 hours per day
Duties: Responsible for assisting and supporting the Primary Care Services Director in the development, administration, monitoring and evaluation and oversight of all primary care services in the health centers and for Indian Health Services (IHS), State and HRSA grants. Will report to the Primary Care Services Director.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in health-related field with 3 years experience in grant and contract administration. Additional years of successful experience in related field may be substituted for a degree requirement. Prefer experience to include supervision, grant related budget management, policy development and implementation, and familiarity with health care regulations including The Joint Commission, CHAP, and HIPAA Standards. Experience working in rural, multi-cultural setting desirable. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups in structured and unstructured forums. Willingness to travel in large and small aircraft and have a valid Alaska Driver’s License. Willing to take training and attend workshops and meetings periodically to enhance job performance and knowledge. Ability to present oral and/or written reports in required format. Knowledge and interest in Alaska Native lifestyles. Native preference will be given dependent upon qualifications.
