Position: Head Start Maintenance
Reports to: APIA Site Supervisor/APIA Head Start Lead Teacher
Work Schedule: On-Call
Salary: Salary: $30.00 per hour DOE.
Duties: Perform regular and preventive maintenance for the Unalaska Head Start facility. Repairs and maintains all heating, ventilating, vacuum, plumbing, and playground equipment. Major tasks include but are not limited to inspection, preventative maintenance, and adjusting a variety of mechanical equipment and parts using related tools, prints, and test equipment to ensure a clean and safe environment. Work includes both inside and outside activities, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50+ pounds, working on heights and confined places.
Qualifications: At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma/GED and one year of experience as maintenance. Must be in good physical health and capable of handling/moving light to medium weight materials, tools, equipment, and/or furniture.
Requirements: Upon date of hire, must provide documentation of current TB test and Hepatitis screening; criminal history background clearance and clean driving record.
Position is open until filled. Relocation and housing not included.
