Position: Child Advocacy Center Program Assistant

Location: Anchorage, AK

Reports to: CAC Program Coordinator

Work Schedule: Full-Time – 37.5 hrs per week

Salary: DOE & Education

Duties: Provide program support to the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) program.  Perform administrative tasks such as filing, ordering supplies and making copies, etc.  Create meetings in Microsoft Outlook, prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, keep running task list from meetings and follow up on progress of tasks.  Manage projects as assigned.  Arrange teleconferences, trainings and other meetings.  Special emphasis on updating, communicating and maintaining CAC Policies and Procedures. Assist with travel, business meeting preparation, and other duties as assigned. Fill in on the front desk as requested.

Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of office experience preferred, preferably in Social/Human Services field.  Knowledge and ability to read and interpret grants and granting procedures, preferred.
Knowledge of clerical and bookkeeping practices, office organization.

Able to receive information, write case notes on client contacts and disseminate information as needed.

 Able to work with individuals from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds. 

Able to learn the basic principles of supporting clients.

Able to work within a team and learn the principles and practices of team dynamics, communication and sharing of responsibilities.

Have strong Microsoft office skills focusing on word processing, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel and Database Management Systems.

Able to schedule and assist in arranging travel for staff and/or clients.        

Have an effective understanding of Aleut culture, and knowledge of the Aleutian Pribilof Islands Region.

Willing to travel as required.

Able to plan, organize, coordinate and perform daily program activities.

Able to carry-out program goals and objectives.

Demonstrate a positive attitude of providing the most excellent customer service.

A Valid Alaska Driver’s License required.

Requirements: Upon date of hire, must provide documentation of current TB test and Hepatitis screening; pre-employment health exam; criminal history background clearance and be willing to obtain a CPR and First Aid Certification.
