Location: Anchorage, Alaska 

Reports to: Department of Family & Community Development; TCSP Coordinator – Anchorage

Work Schedule:  Full Time – 37.5 hrs. per week

Job Summary: APIA Tribal Child Support is seeking Case Worker in Anchorage, AK. This individual will work closely with the TCSP Coordinator within the agency’s IV-D Tribal Child Support Program. Duties: Provide client case management to program participants; process applications; calculate and/or enforce child support orders in accordance with Federal regulations and agency codes; track child support client payments/disbursements; facilitate child support case party meetings; assist with grant and report preparation; prepare, develop, and type correspondence as necessary; assist in organizing & conducting program outreach; travel to communities and conferences as directed; maintain accurate records, case notes, and files on all child support cases; along with other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Preferred: AA degree and 3 years’ case management experience in a Human Services-related field.

Minimum: High School Graduate and five years’ case management experience in a Human Services-related field.  Consideration will be given to applicant with extensive work experience and in the process of obtaining an AA in required field of study.

Applicant must: Have computer skills, focusing on word processing and data entry to management information systems; have conflict resolution skills; be able to give and receive information and write case notes on client contacts; have excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to use those skills interpersonally; be a team player; set priorities to meet critical deadlines; demonstrate dependability, maturity and good judgment in performance of duties; refer clients to necessary resources within community and state-wide; and interact positively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, particularly American Indian/Alaska Native clients.
