JOB TITLE: Compliance Administrator
LOCATION: Anchorage, Alaska

WORK HOURS: 7.5 hrs/day
DUTIES: Oversees all areas of compliance primarily for the health departments to include, but not limited to, policy review and development, adherence to grant reporting and regulations, and filling the role as the Privacy Officer for the association, which involves assisting health and other departments in processing interagency client information requests. Chair the Safety Committee. Regular meetings with program directors, administrators, and human resources to ensure compliance around items such as service delivery, privileging, and credentialing. Oversee Joint Commission and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) site visit review preparations and assist during the site visits.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor Degree in the field of healthcare with at least five years of experience in compliance and risk assessment. Preferred familiarity with Joint Commission, HRSA, and State of Alaska Behavioral Health standards and regulation. Experience in the medical field and knowledge of medical terms desired. Must demonstrate ability to carry out project goals and objectives. Preferred experience with HRSA and Joint Commission standards. Must have strong organizational skills. Must demonstrate the ability to present oral and compose written reports in a cohesive format. Must demonstrate strong human relations skills at an executive level including communications with external agencies. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must demonstrate interest and knowledge of Alaska Native/Native American lifestyles and rural health care delivery. Willingness and ability to travel on small planes and have a valid Alaska driver’s license. Willing to take training and attend workshops and meetings periodically to enhance job performance and knowledge. Native preference.
