Job Summary: This position provides direct support to APIA’s OWC COVID Response and Vaccine efforts. It includes Registration and Scheduling support as well as data entry into our Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) and billing process. The Data Entry Clerk will assist APIAs OWC staff in data entry into both Cerner and the State of Alaska Vac Trak system. This position will also provide direct support and backup in other clerical duties of our COVID response and vaccine delivery. This may include: receiving and delivering supplies, materials and equipment from freight and postal companies. It also may include patient transport. This position is full time, 37.5 hours per week, from 8:00 to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, however may include some nights and weekends for pickup, delivery, and safe patient transports. Valid drivers license required.
Qualifications: Must be a high school graduate with a minimum of 2 years applicable experience working with a diverse population. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have the ability to work with confidential material, preferably in the medical or mental health field. Must have strong secretarial, communication, organizational, and word processing skills and data entry experience. Must have the ability to work in a team atmosphere, have excellent communication skills with a mature professional work philosophy. Willing to take training, attend workshops, and meetings to enhance job performance and knowledge. Alaska Native preference to qualified applicant.
