JOB TITLE: Community Health Services Executive Assistant I

LOCATION: Anchorage, Alaska

SALARY: Depending on Experience + Benefits

WORK HOURS: 7.5 hours per day

Duties Assist in overall planning, supporting, and tracking of the following Community Health Services Divisions: Behavioral Health, Eldercare Services Program, Youth Services Program, Health Promotions/Wellness Program, and Healthy Relationships Program. Assist with executive duties to prepare for board meetings, community outreach activities, newsletters, monthly reports, and team meetings. Assist with daily administrative tasks for the Community Health Services Division and Health Department as needed.

Qualifications: BA degree in health-related field.  Four (4) years of experience in grants or contract management in a non-profit environment, or can be substituted for year for year experience within the field of psychology or other health related field. Successful performance in developing and managing agency grants/contracts.  Knowledge of grant policies and procedures and business accounting principles. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups in structured and unstructured forums. Understanding and knowledge of budget and fiscal procedures.  Experience with compiling reports. Willingness and means to travel and have a valid Alaska Driver’s License. Ability to execute instructions and apply specific guidelines to varied situations, and the ability to effectively express both written and oral information. Experience in working with diverse cultures and familiarity with the Aleutian and Pribilof Islands’ Region. Willing to take training and attend workshops and meetings periodically to enhance job performance and knowledge.
