JOB TITLE: Youth Services Coordinator
LOCATION: Anchorage, Alaska

SALARY: Depending on Experience
WORK HOURS: 7.5 hrs/day
DUTIES: Oversee the day-to-day operations of a Community Health Services youth project to include: implementation of a health & wellness project, monitoring of project activity, keen eye for detail and documenting project progress, purchase supplies, inventory control, possible travel, report writing, and assist with community events to accomplish project goals and objects. Facilitate community partnerships to meet project goals. Be a positive role model for community. Effective communication with coworkers and community partners. Collaborate with APIA staff. Attend required project and division meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least two years of experience in psychology, social work, public health, or related field. Knowledge through education or work experience in program development/implementation, delivery of services in rural areas and health promotion. Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with superiors, employees, other organizations, and the public organizations. Ability to manage and coordinate program goals and objectives with minimal amount of supervision. Ability to prepare and present effective oral and/or written reports in required format. Willingness and means to travel and have a valid Alaska driver’s license. Willing to take training and attend workshops and meetings periodically to enhance job performance and knowledge. Computer skills to include Microsoft Word and email. Interest and knowledge of the Native lifestyle and culture. Native preference will be given depending on experience.
