The Human Services Department (HSD)
Provides services of employment, family/individual development, child welfare and education to Unangans, the Tribal members of the Aleutian/Pribilof Islands Region. These services are provided through the departments three program divisions:
EMPLOYMENT/TRAINING & RELATED SERVICES
Employment Services
Employment services are provided to eligible applicant seeking long-term self-sustaining employment. The Employment staff provides in-depth skill/interest and career assessments, job readiness assessments, job search assistance, referral to other job service agencies and pre-post job support. Employment Services are provided through the following programs:

Welfare-to-Work
Vocational Rehabilitation
Training Services
Training services are provided to eligible applicants seeking education/training related to obtaining or retaining long-term self-sustaining employment. The Training staff provides in-depth skill/interest and career assessments and counseling, assistance with selection of appropriate training centers and colleges, assistance with financial aid research and applications and periodically helps arrange regional specific trainings. Training Services are provided through the following programs:

Related Services provides assistance to eligible applicants for child care, burial, emergency needs of basic essentials, and energy assistance.
